Warbler Posing Pretty
This Black-throated Green Warbler was quite a funny bird and posed for me from branch to branch, not concerned at all about my presence. Taken in a local park during spring migration in Toronto, Canada.
Family Time

Strike
A Peregrine Falcon with talons out attempts to grab a Bufflehead duck that she had killed earlier and dropped into Lake Ontario. I was privileged to be able to watch for 2 hours as her and her mate took turns attempting to retrieve their meal.

Rare Winter Visitor
A Hudsonian Godwit is a rare visitor to the Greater Toronto Area. This lone shorebird with it’s long, elegant bill, was found in a marsh in Burlington, Ontario, likely grounded on its migration south due to the sudden heavy snow storm.

The stunning, sunny yellow and crisp black and white plumage of the male American Goldfinch in breeding season is second to none. This bird was so obliging to show off while perched on a sumach branch.
Hawk Staredown
A wild Red-tailed Hawk landed next tome one cold winter day after it had caught a pigeon. It was an unbelievable experience that allowed me to respectfully get closeups of the bird as I backed away. You can see me in the reflections of its eye, kneeling down in the snow next to a fence.
